ADU plumbing in Highland, CA is a specialty of ours. And a good ADU build lives or dies by whether the plumbing is done right the first time.

Highland has a mix of ADU situations. Some are detached new-builds sitting on their own slab in the backyard. Some are garage conversions where the existing slab and framing stay but everything else is new. Some are JADUs carved out of the main house. Each one needs a different plumbing plan, and the sewer lateral tie-in is usually the trickiest piece.

We start with the plan check. Fixture count drives pipe sizing, water heater sizing, and drain diameter. Then we scope the sewer situation. Sometimes we can tap into the existing lateral if it has capacity. Other times we run a new one out to the street or to a shared cleanout. If the yard has mature trees, we camera the existing line first to make sure it isn't already compromised by roots.

Rough-in day is where it all comes together. Supply lines in PEX or copper, DWV in ABS, sized to the plans, pressure-tested and ready for the inspector. We work with your GC or handle the schedule ourselves. Gas lines get run to the range, dryer, and tankless heater if that's the setup, sized right and leak-tested before drywall.

Trim-out at the end is the fun part. Toilets, sinks, showers, laundry hookups, dishwasher, and the water heater all set and connected. Everything gets a live-water test and we walk the inspector through it. Once it passes, we hand you a unit that's ready for a tenant, a family member, or a home office setup without a single plumbing worry.
