CAMERA-VERIFIED CLEARS
Why Choose Us
CLEARED RIGHT. VERIFIED WITH A CAMERA.
Poking a hole through a clog is not the same as clearing a drain. We restore the full pipe, then show you it's clear on camera before we leave.
Snake and hydro jet
Not every clog is the same. Small line clogs get the sectional snake. Grease-packed and root-choked mains get the hydro jet.
Camera-verified clears
We run a color camera down the line after the clear so you actually see the pipe is open, not just guess.
Grease, hair, roots, wipes
Kitchen mains packed with grease. Shower drains matted with hair. Mainlines full of tree roots. All the greatest hits, handled.
Full mainline capacity
We restore the pipe to its true inner diameter. A drain that's 60% clear is a drain that clogs again in three weeks.

WHAT ACTUALLY CLOGS DRAINS IN HIGHLAND
Every neighborhood in Highland has its own drain story. Over in East Highland Ranch, most of the homes were built between the late 90s and the mid-2000s, which means ABS drain lines in the walls and PVC out to the mainline. Those pipes hold up well, but the joints collect grease and hair over the years, and by year 15 or so you start seeing slow bathroom sinks and kitchen backups. Down in the older parts near Base Line, we still see cast iron lines from the 60s and 70s, and cast iron gets rougher on the inside as it ages, so it grabs onto anything you send down it.
Drain cleaning in Highland, CA usually starts with figuring out what kind of clog you actually have. A single slow drain in one bathroom is almost always local, meaning something is stuck in the trap or a few feet down the branch line. Multiple slow drains at once, especially on the lowest floor, points to a main-line problem, and that's a different job. We ask what's slow, what's fine, and what sounds gurgly before we even open the truck.
Kitchen lines out here get destroyed by grease. Not the giant pour-a-can-of-bacon-fat kind, just the everyday oil that runs off dishes and cools inside the pipe walls. Add in the hard water we have at 15 to 17 grains, and mineral deposits catch onto the grease and build a ledge inside the drain. A snake pokes through it and buys you a couple weeks. hydro jetting, which uses about 4,000 PSI of water through a specialized nozzle, actually scours the pipe walls back to bare plastic or metal. Different tool, different result.
Main sewer lines have their own thing going on. If you have mature trees anywhere near your sewer lateral, especially the big pines and jacarandas that are everywhere in East Highland Ranch and along Weaver, you have roots looking for water. They find the smallest crack in the pipe and grow through it. According to the EPA, tree roots are one of the top causes of sewer line failure in older suburban neighborhoods. We clear the roots, then run a camera to see if the pipe underneath the roots is still worth keeping or if you're looking at a bigger repair conversation.
One more thing worth mentioning. Please don't pour store-bought drain cleaner down your pipes. The chemicals in those bottles are hot enough to soften PVC and eat the rubber gaskets on cast iron connections. We've replaced sections of drain line that failed exactly where the homeowner had been dosing it with drain opener every month. If a plunger doesn't move it, call a plumber before you reach for the chemistry set.

Common questions on drain cleaning in Highland. Don't see yours? Give us a call.
01How much does drain cleaning cost?
How much does drain cleaning cost?
Simple sink or tub snaking usually runs around a flat service call fee. Mainline snaking is a little more. Hydro jetting is priced by the job because it depends on line length and how bad the buildup is. You get the written price before we start, always.
02Do I need hydro jetting or is a snake enough?
Do I need hydro jetting or is a snake enough?
A snake pokes a hole through the clog. Hydro jetting scrapes the pipe walls back to bare metal or plastic. If you have recurring clogs, grease buildup in the kitchen line, or roots in the main, jetting is the right call. One-off clogs, a snake is usually fine.
03Can drain cleaner from the store damage my pipes?
Can drain cleaner from the store damage my pipes?
Yes, and we see the damage all the time. Store-bought chemical drain cleaners are hot enough to soften PVC joints and eat the rubber gaskets on cast iron. They also rarely clear the real clog, they just tunnel through it. Skip the bottle, call a plumber.
04Why does the same drain keep clogging?
Why does the same drain keep clogging?
Usually because the last clearing only made a hole in the middle of the clog instead of restoring the full pipe diameter. A camera inspection after the clear tells you whether the line is truly open or whether there's a bigger issue like a belly, root intrusion, or a broken pipe.
05How long does drain cleaning take?
How long does drain cleaning take?
Kitchen or bath drain snaking is usually under an hour. Mainline snaking through the cleanout runs 60 to 90 minutes. Full hydro jet service is 2 to 3 hours depending on line length.
06Will you show me the camera footage?
Will you show me the camera footage?
Absolutely. We hand you the monitor while we're running the line so you see what we see. If there's a real problem in the pipe, you'll know exactly where it is and how bad it is before any repair conversation starts.
