Why Choose Us

AN ADU SEWER DONE RIGHT

The sewer is the piece that usually stalls an ADU build. We camera the existing line, tie in or run fresh, and get it inspected clean.

New sewer laterals

Fresh 4-inch ABS or PVC lateral run from the ADU to the city main or to a shared cleanout. Sized and sloped right the first time.

Tie-in to existing line

When the main lateral has capacity, we tap in with a proper wye and cleanout instead of running a whole new line. Cheaper and less digging.

Camera inspection first

We scope the existing lateral before tying in. Root damage or belly issues show up on the camera, not after inspection fails.

Trenching & backfill

Trench sized for the pipe with proper bedding sand and compacted backfill. No settling, no cracked concrete over the trench.

Customer Reviews

ADU SEWERS BUILT TO LAST

Built a detached ADU 70 feet from the main house. Grand ran the sewer lateral, tied into the existing line, and passed inspection first try.

Ravi N.

East Highland Ranch, CA

Our old lateral had roots. They cameraed it, told us straight up, and ran a fresh line for the ADU instead of patching a bad one. Right call.

Beth S.

Highland, CA

Clean trench, tight schedule, and the yard looks better than before they started. Worth every dollar.

WHAT MAKES A GREAT ADU SEWER LATERAL IN HIGHLAND, CA

An ADU sewer lateral in Highland, CA is one of the pieces most homeowners don't think about until the plans hit plan check. But getting the sewer connection right is what turns a permitted set of drawings into an actual working unit. And in Highland's mix of older mainlines and newer service laterals, no two ADU sewer setups are quite the same.

We start every ADU sewer job with a camera inspection of the existing house lateral. That tells us capacity, condition, and whether root intrusion or a belly is already fighting the current flow. If the existing line is healthy and has capacity, we can tap in with a wye and a new cleanout, which saves the homeowner a lot of trenching and dollars. If it's compromised, we recommend a fresh lateral run for the ADU straight to the city main or shared cleanout.

In East Highland Ranch and newer parts of town, laterals tend to be in decent shape and tie-ins go smoothly. In older Highland neighborhoods with mature trees, we see a lot of clay-tile laterals with root damage, and it usually makes more sense to run a new line for the ADU. Either way, the trench, bedding, and slope have to be dialed in so the inspector signs off and the line keeps flowing for decades.

Information

FAQ.

Common questions on adu sewer lateral in Highland. Don't see yours? Give us a call.

01

Can my new ADU tie into my existing sewer line?

Usually. We camera the existing lateral first to check condition and capacity. If it's healthy, we tap in with a wye and cleanout. If not, we run a fresh lateral for the ADU.

02

How deep does the trench have to be?

Depends on the slope and where the tie-in point sits. Typical ADU laterals are 18 to 36 inches deep, sometimes deeper if the main is far away or the yard is flat.

03

What about crossing the driveway or a walkway?

We saw-cut the concrete cleanly, trench under, run the pipe, and patch with new concrete. No jackhammering the whole slab.

04

Do I need a separate cleanout for the ADU?

Yes, and it's the right call anyway. A dedicated cleanout at or near the ADU makes future maintenance easy without digging up the whole yard.

05

Do you pull the permit?

Yes. We pull the plumbing permit, coordinate with the county or city inspector, and handle any corrections before backfill.

06

How much does an ADU sewer lateral cost?

Distance-dependent. A short tie-in to a nearby existing line is very different from a 60-foot run out to the city main. We give a written flat price after the site walk and camera inspection.
