Why Choose Us
DIAGNOSED ON CAMERA. FIXED THE RIGHT WAY.
Sewer work is where homeowners get sold the biggest jobs they don't need. We show you the pipe on camera first so the fix matches the problem.
Camera inspection first
Before we quote a dime of repair, we run a color sewer camera down your line so you see the exact problem, not our guess at one.
Trenchless & pipe lining
When the line qualifies, we line the existing pipe from cleanout to city connection without ripping up your yard, driveway, or landscape.
Root intrusion cleared
Hydro jet knocks the roots out. Camera confirms what's left of the pipe. We tell you honestly whether cleaning holds or replacement makes more sense.
Full replacements too
Old cast iron or Orangeburg pipe that's fully failed? We handle the permit, the dig, the connection, and getting your yard back together.

WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON UNDER YOUR YARD
Sewer lines are the thing homeowners never think about until they're standing in an inch of water in the laundry room. And unlike a leaky faucet, sewer line repair in Highland, CA is not something you can put off. When a lateral fails, it fails everywhere at once. Every drain in the house slows down, toilets gurgle, and eventually one of them backs up somewhere you really don't want it to.
The two big causes we see out here are age and roots. A lot of the older homes down near Base Line and Palm Ave still have cast iron sewer laterals from the 60s and 70s. Cast iron corrodes from the inside, and by year 50 or 60 the bottom of the pipe is basically a channel with no shoulders left. Water flows, solids catch, and the clog cycle starts. Newer neighborhoods, including a lot of East Highland Ranch, have ABS or PVC lines that hold up far better, but they're not immune to root intrusion at the joints.
Roots are the real Inland Empire specialty. All the beautiful mature trees that make neighborhoods like East Highland Ranch and the older parts of Redlands look great, they're the same trees sending roots toward your sewer lateral. Jacarandas, sycamores, big pines, even pepper trees. Roots find the smallest gap at a joint, force it open, and grow into the pipe. According to the EPA, root intrusion is one of the top causes of sewer failure in mature suburban neighborhoods across the U.S.
This is exactly why we run a color sewer camera before quoting any repair. We've had homeowners in Highland come to us with $15,000 quotes from other companies for a full replacement, and the camera shows a single spot of root intrusion that a hydro jet and a small liner patch fixes for a fraction of that. On the other hand, we've had folks who thought they just needed a cleaning, and the camera shows a full pipe collapse that a snake would have made zero difference on. Camera first, quote second. Always.
For the repair itself, trenchless is the game changer of the last 15 years. Cured-in-place pipe lining, or CIPP, pulls an epoxy-saturated liner through your existing pipe and cures it into a smooth new pipe inside the old one. No digging up the yard. No cutting the driveway. When the line has enough structure left to line, this is the answer. When it doesn't, we still do full excavation replacement, permits pulled, inspection passed, sod put back like it was never touched.

FAQ.
Common questions on sewer line repair in Highland. Don't see yours? Give us a call.
01How do I know if I have a sewer line problem?
How do I know if I have a sewer line problem?
The signs usually stack up. Multiple drains slow at the same time, gurgling toilets when the washer drains, patches of extra-green grass in the yard, or a sewage smell outside near the cleanout. Any one of those is worth a camera inspection. Two or more, definitely call.
02What does trenchless sewer repair actually mean?
What does trenchless sewer repair actually mean?
It's a way to fix or replace a sewer line without digging a full trench across your yard. The most common method is CIPP lining, where an epoxy-saturated liner is pulled through the old pipe and cured in place, creating a smooth new pipe inside the old one. Faster, cleaner, and usually cheaper than open-trench replacement.
03How long does a sewer line repair take?
How long does a sewer line repair take?
Camera inspection with a spot repair is often a same-day job. Full trenchless lining is usually 1 to 2 days. Full excavation and replacement runs 3 to 7 days depending on line length and permit turnaround from the city.
04Do you handle the permits?
Do you handle the permits?
Yes. Any sewer lateral work in Highland or unincorporated San Bernardino County needs a permit and an inspection. We pull the paperwork, meet the inspector, and hand you a signed-off card at the end so it's on record if you ever sell the home.
05Why do sewer lines fail in the first place?
Why do sewer lines fail in the first place?
Age, roots, and shifting soil, mostly. Cast iron sewer lines from before the 1980s corrode from the inside out. Clay pipe, which is under a lot of older Inland Empire homes, cracks at the joints and roots find their way in. According to the EPA, root intrusion is one of the top causes of sewer failure in mature suburban neighborhoods.
06Can I get sewer line insurance to cover this?
Can I get sewer line insurance to cover this?
Yes, and it's worth looking into. Most standard homeowners policies do not cover the sewer lateral. Add-on sewer line coverage from your water district or a private line warranty runs $5 to $10 a month and can save you five figures if the line ever needs full replacement.
SEE THE PIPE. FIX IT ONCE.
Camera inspection, hydro jetting, trenchless lining, or full replacement. Straight answers based on what your pipe actually looks like.
